At the Races!
I’ve had a blast being a part of some exciting racing this fall! Just last weekend Debbie Sullivan just won the Sierra Trail Challenge consisting of a 13.1 mile trail run on day one and a 50 mile mountain bike race on day two. It was super great to see Lennard Zinn and Amber Rydholm post big wins at the Cyclocross Grand Prix in Fort Collins early this month. Emily Zinn (Lennard’s daughter) quickly moving up to the Woman’s Open Cat 1,2,3 division after winning multiple Cat 4 races. Scott Ross had a fantastic race in Hawaii while enjoying every minute of the Ironman World Championships. Kevin Herbert made his re-entry into the sport of Triathlon after a five year break in his usual fashion by finishing 3rd overall. I sure hope I am going that fast at 47! Deana Hoover punctuated a great 2012 with a 5th place in the 50-54 age-group at the Hi-Vi 5150 Triathlon Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.
Quick note on Addaero:
iPad and Addaero – mb.addaero.com mobile application works great on your iPad making viewing your workouts and giving me results even easier. You may need to refresh or delete your cookies if you are having difficulties. This app also works great work great on your smart phones.

New on TriEndurance.com:
I have been working hard on breathing new life into my website. My goal is to make it a more dynamic and interesting site to visit with lots of great information. With this in mind, I have added a STRAVA dashboard to my site which allows you to join the TriEndurance club on STRAVA so rides and runs you do and upload to STRAVA will automatically populate my site. Simply click on the Orange Bar at the bottom of the page and join the TriEndurance Club! If you’re not a member of STRAVA join, it’s fun!
Just to give a heads-up, I may start working with a different app that is similar to STRAVA but allows for more customization. A friend on my bike team is working with this company: it’s called ‘Ride with GPS.’ …so stay tuned.

Question: As I’m doing a 13.1 race @ sea level at the end of the month what do you think of me doing a longer sustained downhill run (with gradual progression) on a gentle descending gradient such as Jamestown to assist with leg speed?

I am also trying to create a bunch more videos of the strength exercises I give you. Please let me know exercises you would like to see a video of those on the site first.
Plus if any of you have sport, fitness, health related blogs; please let me know as I would love to promote them on my site.
