“Speed Racers!” Sums it up!

Noting gets me more excited than achievements that exceed all expectations.  You never know if you are going to win a race, finish higher than you ever though possible, rival your toughest competitors, and achieve a personal best.  There are just too many variables and controlling them is nearly impossible.   You never know who is going to show up, whether your training is dialed in, how your legs are going to feel, flat tire, chain dropped, etc…

Well everything worked out for TriEndurance athletes this weekend and congratulations on all the amazing race results this weekend!

Check out the number of overall Podium finishes we had this weekend:

Stephanie Bina            - 1st place Liberty Triathlon

Maggie Fourier            - 1st place Lacrosse Energy Tri

Jeff Fleig                     - 1st place Lacrosse Energy Tri

Kathy Yndestad         - 1st place Manitou

Julie Hull                     – 2nd place Manitou

John Shelp                   – 3rd place Manitou

Andrew Feeney          - 3rd place Buffalo Xterra

Top Age-group finishes:

Nick VanDuzee          1st place 60-64 Manitou

Becca Hatch                2nd place 25-29 Manitou

Jesse Adams                1st place 25-29 Manitou

Pam Zachman             2nd place 40-44 Manitou

Kris Swarthout            1st place 35-39 Manitou

Many other wonderful stories unfolded this weekend including Jonathan Sugar’s debut into multi-sport racing with a top 10 age-group finish off the bike.  Jonathan converts triathlons into aqua bikes because running is out of the question.  There are many aspiring multisport athletes out there who can not run because of the impact on their joints.  The swim / bike event is a perfect option!  Jonathan will compete in the Aqua Bike division at the Michigan Steal Head 70.3 Triathlon where he will be swimming 1.2 miles and biking 56miles for his race.

Congrats on all of your accomplishments!
