Race report:
I am going to start this section off with a race report from TriEndurance athlete Joan VanCamp post Anandale:
"I'm sure you are already aware of the results, but you should be really proud of your team. What a great group of people! Emily Depp did great at the Lifetime (the only women that beat her were flown in from other states and I don't think that should count). Emily also came in second today at Annandale. She is amazing. Jan came in third today. Beth Zirbes, Cathy Y., and Julie Hall also had major big weekends. Julie Mcmonigal (you know who I mean) did very well at Annandale today. Tiffany Storms also finished the long course today at Annandale. Tiffany is so positive - she really has a great attitude! I'm sure I'm forgetting other women and all the men, but these are just some of the ones that I saw."
At LifeTime Scott Ross reported that he finished 3rd and said that Nick VanDuzee had a great 3rd place age-group finish also. Susan Williams won the 30-34 Age group. Cathy Yndested finished 6th and Julie Hull was 10th out of the Elites.
At Anandale we had John Shelp finish 3rd after a 10th place finish at Life Time the day prior and Brent Loberg must have passed aver 10 people on the run to finish 6th place overall finish. Cindy Schlafmann had stellar 11th overall finish. Jesse Adams was 15th overall for the men. Kris Swarthout had another podium age-group finsh and Neil Hailstone and Shane waskey had their 2nd straight top 10 age-group finish in two straight weekends in the super competive 30-34 age-group. Joan VanCamp and Merelee Wolmendorf both finished finished in the top three in their age-group. Mary Ryan, Becca Hatch and Julie MacMonagel broke the top 5 in their age-group.
For our junior racers I know Rachael Ness and Gabby Keller finished 1st and 2nd at the Minnie Man in the 15 and under division. John will fill in us on more Junior results in the future.
Becca Hatch had a 3rd place finish in age-group at the Minne Man.
Jonathan Sugar, in prep for an upcomming hip sugery in August trained to do and completed his first ever bike event, a metric Century. Can't wait to see what he can do after his surgery!
There are many more results that I am missing. Please update me and I will post them on the site.
Thanks for all the inspiration. I am so proud of my team!
Jared
